Anke Moerland

Dr. Anke Moerland is an Assistant Professor of Intellectual Property Law in the European and International Law Department, Maastricht University.  She coordinates the contribution of the advanced master programmes Intellectual Property and Knowledge Management (IPKM LLM/MSc) in the European Intellectual Property Institutes Network (EIPIN). Furthermore, she coordinates the PREMIUM programme for IPKM students (IGIR PREMIUM Masterclass Series for IPKM/EIPIN). 

Anke holds a PhD from Maastricht University, which she defended in October 2013 on the topic “Why Jamaica Wants to Protect Champagne: Intellectual Property Protection in EU Bilateral Trade Agreements”. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Technical University Dresden, Germany, a bachelor’s degree (cum laude) in Dutch Law from Maastricht University and a LLM degree (cum laude) from the Magister Juris Communis Programme of Maastricht University.
